You can also get the train from Geneva to Bourg St. Maurice followed by a 30-40 min car journey to Tignes with a taxi. This is the only public transport operating from Geneva to Tignes in the summer season. You can find timetables on: www.sncf.frCar hire:
Car hire is a good option for four people but remember to order chains and roof racks if you think you will need them.
By car
Driving can be a good way to get to Tignes, you can get from Calais to Tignes in about 8-10 hours depending on speed/traffic. Snow chains can be bought at Bourg St. Maurice if needed.
By train
You can get the Eurostar train direct from Waterloo, London to Bourg St. Maurice followed by a 30-40 min taxi ride to Tignes.
